How to use

Fast-acting, plant-powered ingredients 

Picaridin, a compound bioidentical to those found in long black pepper plants. (1-Methylpropyl-2-(2-hydroxyethyl)-1piperidine carboxylate)

General Application

Shake well before use. Hold the bottle 4-6 inches from skin while spraying, keeping nozzle pointed away from your face, and avoiding contact with eyes and mouth, and apply sparingly around ears.

Slightly moisten your skin with a slow sweeping motion. Do not exceed 2 applications per day. Formula is water-resistant and non-flammable.

Do not spray directly on the face. Avoid contact with lips, cuts, wounds, or irritated skin. Do not apply excessively to sunburned skin or underneath clothing. 

Applying Stay Away® Mosquitoes to Your Face

Spray a small amount in the palms of your hands, spreading on face and neck. Avoid contact with eyes. Do not spray directly on face. 

Applying Stay Away® Mosquitoes on Children

Spray a small amount in the palms of your hands, then apply on a child. Do not spray directly on their face, and take care to avoid their mouth and eyes, and apply sparingly around ears. Do not allow children to handle the product.

Precautionary Statements


Causes moderate eye irritation. Avoid contact with eyes. Wash your hands with soap and water after handling, returning indoors, and before eating, drinking, and chewing gum, using tobacco, or using the toilet. 



IF IN EYES – Hold eye open and rinse gently with water for 15-20 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present, after the first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing. Call a Poison Control Center or doctor for treatment advice. 

IF SWALLOWED – Call a physician or Poison Control Center immediately for treatment advice. Have person sip a glass of water if able to swallow. Do not induce vomiting unless told to do so by a Poison Control Center or a doctor. Do not give anything to an unconscious person. Have the product container or label with you when calling a Poison Control Center or doctor or going for treatment. 


Store in a cool, dry place out of reach of children.

Container handling: Non-refillable container. Do not reuse or refill this container. If empty: Place in trash or offer for recycling if available. If partly filled: Call your local solid waste agency or 1-800-526-9377 for disposal instructions. Never place unused product down any indoor or outdoor drain.
