Stay Away® Spiders is safe to use around children and pets when used as directed. The pouches do not contain harmful chemicals. Placing our pouches in a Pouch Pod will further protect them from curious kids and pets.
Spiders prefer to live in areas free of scents and vibrations so they can easily detect prey. The botanical ingredients in the pouches create a scent that works to deter spiders from the area and keep them from returning (until the scent diminishes and the product needs to be replaced). The essential oil scents also work to deter other insects from the area that spiders typically feed upon.
While many spider repellents and deterrents are made with harmful chemical ingredients, Stay Away® Spider is a botanical spider deterrent that’s made with plant-based ingredients and provides a no-kill alternative. The ingredients are rosemary oil, lemongrass oil, citronella oil, corn cobs, almond oil, and sunflower oil. The pouches are USDA Bio-preferred with 100% bio-based content.
You should begin to notice the results immediately. However, depending on the type of pest and severity of the infestation, it may take up to 48 hours for the full effect to occur.

Anywhere webs or spiders are noticed: basements, dormers, closets, attics, crawl spaces, or places you would like to prevent them from entering.
Use Stay Away® Spiders pouches wherever spider activity has been seen. One pouch should suffice in small areas such as closets or crawl spaces; more may be necessary in larger areas or in places with high rates of air exchange. Replace pouches every 30 days or when the scent is no longer noticeable.
EarthKind products are made from ingredients primarily sourced from U.S. regenerative farms. EarthKind suppliers use traditional and sustainable farming practices but are not required to have non-GMO verification.
We do not recommend it. These products usually have food attractants encased/affixed/attached to attract the pest. Thus, counteracting the benefits of Stay Away® products.
EarthKind pouches are designed for indoor use and in enclosed spaces. The product may still work in outdoor spaces, but will not last as long or be as effective in areas with a high rate of air exchange. If the product gets wet, its effectiveness may diminish.
There are no known safety risks with Stay Away® products. All ingredients are on the GRAS list (generally recognized as safe). However, please keep it out of reach of kids and pets to safeguard from any unforeseen risks. Please share this SDS sheet with your vet or physician.
This approach is untested and the combination of the different scents may mask each distinctive scent, prohibiting them from working as effectively as intended.
